US Senator Chris Murphy will miss next week's Senate session after suffering a stroke on October 31st.
The Connecticut Democrat, 53, has been released from the hospital and will spend several weeks in rehabilitation.
Doctors say he is making strong progress and is expected to make a full recovery, although no return date has been announced.
