Iran is negotiating with Russia to purchase advanced S-400 air defense systems, according to the "Telegraph".
According to reports, Iranian security chief Mohsen Razai delivered a personal letter from Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei to Vladimir Putin requesting the systems.
Tehran hopes to rebuild its air defenses following devastating attacks by the US and Israel.
However, Moscow may be reluctant to provide S-400 systems because of its military needs in Ukraine.
