All-Robot War: Ukraine sent at least 28 unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) from its Army's 3rd Corps against Russia's 20th Combined Arms Army in the Lyman sector on October 28, in what they call the largest robot attack of the war.
Russian reports say the force had 18 UGVs armed with twin 84mm AT4 launchers, 2 with Mk 19 40mm automatic grenade launchers and 8 kamikaze vehicles loaded with explosives.
They say a patrol spotted the column and that FPV and munitions drop drones repulsed it.
Some are calling it the first major assault attempt without infantry, a "platoon of robots," and a warning that UGVs are moving from logistics to independent strike roles.
