Marco Rubio defended Trump's war on Iran despite acknowledging its political costs and its effect on fuel prices.
"Higher prices at the gas pump, I'll admit, are not like things where you're on the campaign trail bragging," Rubio said.
He argued that Trump "deserves a tremendous amount of credit" for taking action despite her unpopularity, adding that leadership requires doing things that may not be "politically popular or expedient" but are necessary for the country's long-term future.
