First lady Melania Trump has reportedly complained to Trump about people she knows personally being deported under his administration's aggressive immigration pushback.
Following her complaints, Trump told aides that Stephen Miller, the architect of his immigration enforcement policy, had gone too far.
Trump has reportedly shifted his stance on immigration over the course of the year, at times calling for an even tougher crackdown while expressing concerns about the severity of deportations.
