It will last well beyond just two years.
You look ahead to the '28 presidential election: as Republicans, you won't be able to recapture the Senate under this current map in just two years.
And with all the seats in the house that were lost, it's probably not worth taking that back either.
So it's really going to take two, four years, six years, maybe even longer, before the Republicans can once again exercise unified control of Washington, like we've enjoyed for the last two years.
