I think last night the people of Texas sent a clear message to the world's first trillionaire: Texas is not for sale.
Power in this country, in this country, belongs to the people, and we have to make sure it stays that way.
That's why this is the mandate to clean up government, overhaul our campaign finance system, get that big money out of our politics, so a trillionaire like Elon Musk can't buy politicians to do his bidding.
I am thankful that the people of Texas have stood up to this corrupting influence. But I hope this is an opportunity for us as a nation to get it out of our politics for good.
