Republican Sen. Darlene Graham is locked in a tight race against Democratic South Carolina Democrat Annie Andrews, raising the possibility of a major Democratic upset.
Graham, who was appointed after the death of her brother Lindsay Graham in July, has been criticized for her lack of political experience and weak support among the Conservatives.
A New York Times/Sienna poll shows the candidates nearly tied, despite Trump's repeated appearances on the campaign trail.
When asked if she was mad at her brother for putting her in this situation, Graham joked, "When I get to heaven one day, I'm just going to strangle Lindsay."
