French President Macron admits:
It is absolutely true that in Marseilles, as elsewhere, there were insufficient security forces on October 17th.
We did not expect what happened at all.
We did not expect that so many extreme groups from the extreme left would mobilize very early in the morning, in a very unusual way.
We didn't expect that beyond the recruitment of the extreme left, criminal elements would also join.
So the police forces were not deployed in sufficient numbers.
