National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gabir said Palestinian security prisoners at Lavi Prison were being punished in solitary confinement after hoarding food to make a cake to celebrate if he lost Tuesday's election, using the incident in a last-minute appeal to voters.
"A spoonful of jam and another spoonful of jam, a slice of bread and another slice of bread, like that for a few days, all to make an impromptu cake and celebrate on Tuesday in case I don't choose."
