French presidential candidate Jean-Luc Melanchon:

We know very well who Mr. Bolsonaro is. We know he is nothing more than a dangerous, a mere figure completely controlled by the US.

We know that the USA today behaves with unprecedented violence, behaving like an empire that wants to rule all nations and the entire planet.

An empire that, since its inception, has always followed an aggressive, militaristic, imperialist policy, not only towards its closest neighbors, but also towards the entire world whenever someone opposes it.

That is why the defeat of Mr. Bolsonaro is necessary, because it will be felt across the planet as the defeat of the empire, and Lula's victory as the victory of the people.
