New: Passengers evacuated at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport after an airstrike Blitz: Announced amid a threat from a Ukrainian drone, with flights restricted at all four of the capital's major airports.

The Russian aviation agency Rosaviatsia halted arrivals and departures to Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Venukovo and Zhukovsky from around 14:05 Moscow time for safety reasons.

Airport staff directed passengers to shelters and safe areas, telling them to avoid elevators, windows and any drone debris.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the air defense system had intercepted drones approaching the city, with at least 11 reported to have been shot down in recent hours.
