New: The US State Department refuses to condemn the Libyan parliament's approval of the 2019 Turkey-Libya maritime agreement.

A State Department spokesman encouraged partners in the eastern Mediterranean to resolve maritime disputes through good faith negotiations.

"Greece and Turkey are both NATO allies. We encourage them to engage bilaterally to address any areas of disagreement," the spokesman said.
