Abdul Al-Sayed:
It was about an uncontested primary in which President Biden, frankly, shamefully supported the genocide in Gaza.
People wanted to send a message, and frankly, they asked the political tactics of the black community when it came to apartheid in South Africa.
They said, look, we're not going to stand for this, to see our tax dollars go to kill, for some people, their cousins, literally.
And so the community said, we're going to vote without commitment in the primary.
I voted uncommitted for a reason, because I wanted to send a message to my party.
