Trump is considering moving reporters out of the White House press briefing room and replacing it with an indoor swimming pool, originally built for President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933.

Trump has floated the idea several times, but his advisers have balked at it in the past because keeping reporters nearby makes it easier for the media.

Some of Trump's closest advisers now support moving reporters to another government building, which would further limit their direct access to the president.
