Qatar plans to build two gas-fired power plants in Lebanon within three years and sign a 20-year LNG supply deal to help revive the country's struggling electricity sector. The proposal also includes 800 MW of solar power, 440 MW of wind power, battery storage and electricity imports from Syria. The project aims to attract private financing without prior expenditure from the Lebanese budget. It still requires approval from both governments. Source: Reuters.
