The cyber security company Point of Proof, owned by the American private equity company Toma Bravo, has agreed to acquire the information security company Veronis Systems established in Israel in a cash deal in the amount of about 6.3 billion dollars. Veronis shareholders will receive $49.75 per share, a 52% premium to the share price before rumors of the sale surfaced in June. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027, taking Varonis private and creating one of the largest cybersecurity companies focused on data security and artificial intelligence security. Veronis employs about 2,800 people, of which about 1,000 are in Israel, and CEO Yikki Feitelson said that its mission is to "secure artificial intelligence and the data that supports it." The deal adds to a wave of large acquisitions in the US of Israeli technology companies. Google's acquisition of Israeli-founded cloud security company Wiz closed in March 2026 for $32 billion in cash, making it Israel's largest tech exit ever, while Palo Alto Networks completed its acquisition of CyberArk in February 2026 in a deal worth about $25 billion. Israeli companies recorded approximately $70 billion in exits over approximately 110 transactions in the first 11 months of 2025.
