It is clear that Israel had the authority to retaliate against Hamas. But what we saw is that they didn't just target Hamas. They imposed collective punishment on all the Palestinian people in Gaza.

And we saw the horrors of Gaza. The United States government has really failed to respond in a way that preserves our laws and our values.

The Biden administration was essentially AWOL when it came to actually drawing clear lines and using our leverage.

And in the end, in my opinion, it amounted to complicity in the atrocities in Gaza.
