New: The first Russian diesel cargo bound for the US left St. Petersburg on September 22, two weeks before Trump announced the deal.
The Greek-flagged tanker Minerva ZEN is carrying 275,000 barrels of diesel/fuel, and is scheduled to arrive on the US East Coast around October 11-12.
Analysts note that the promised volumes are still only days away from US distillate demand, and Russian diesel output has been cut due to Ukrainian refinery strikes.
