BMW has withdrawn its leasing offer for the official car of Tobias Rausch, the AfD politician who was elected speaker of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt on October 6.
The company did not explain its decision, but BMW CEO Milan Ndelikowicz recently criticized the AfD, calling populism and right-wing nationalism "poison" for the German economy.
Rausch, the first AfD politician to become president of the German state parliament, will temporarily use the BMW 7 Series of his CDU predecessor.
However, his lease ends in November, which could leave him without an official car.
