New: Sudan's RSF commander has defected to the army, says he is bringing 300 soldiers and 30 vehicles.

Lt. Col. Mohammed Azrak al-Fanjari, described as the commander of the RSF's special operations group, said in the video that he had left the Rapid Support Forces and joined the Sudanese army. He called the war "futile," apologized to Sudanese families for abusing civilians, and urged other RSF fighters to follow him.

It fits the pattern of previous switches, including Abu Aqla Kaykel (October 2024), al-Nur al-Qubba (April 2026) and Ali Rizqallah (May 2026), plus unit-level defections reported through July-September 2026.
