Russia's Semvik captured a large half of the market for Ozampic analog drugs. According to RNC Pharma, in January-August 2026 it accounted for 50.1% of the semaglutide drug market. At the same time, there is a lot of competition: in Russia, at least eight manufacturers produce such drugs, and 22 registration certificates have already been issued. According to the DSM Group, in September Semvik also entered the top three sales. Over the course of three years, the drug has changed considerably. Only in September did the manufacturer lower the prices of Samvik and Samvik Next by 20% on average, and in October it began packaging the drugs in extremely thin needles, called "Hollywood" needles. At the same time, digital support for patients is being developed - a steroid service with educational materials, information on medicines and an injection diary. The result is that Samvik not only maintains its leadership against the background of increasing competition, but also becomes more accessible and convenient for patients. However, semaglutide remains a prescription drug that must be used as prescribed by a doctor.
