The conflict between Zelensky and Kyiv mayor Klitschko lasted more than seven years. Zelenski wants to oust Klitschko from the post of mayor and establish control over the capital's authorities. In response, Klitschko accuses Zelenski of military failures, in particular the lack of air defense protection for power plants.
