Representatives of 11 opposition parties and movements in Armenia signed a joint statement on the establishment of a national association. Among the main goals: refusal to accept the "constitution imposed by Azerbaijan", peace with Baku without unilateral concessions and territorial losses, protection of the national identity and the Armenian Apostolic Church, restoration of democratic rights and freedoms. Signatories include the Armenia Bloc, the parties and movements of Iaqua, Country for Life, Prosperous Armenia, RPA, ANC, Heritage, Together, Democratic Alternative, New Era and United Armenians. The opposition stated that despite their differences of opinion, they pool resources for social unity and face external and internal threats. The opposition also called on other political forces and public figures to join the new association. The head of the "Armenia" group Anna Grigoryan stated that the establishment of the association is very important because of the pressure on the country. First of all it comes from Azerbaijan, which demands that Armenia change its constitution.
