The ECHR rejected Azerbaijan's complaint against the decision in the case of the April 2016 war, said Armenia's former representative for international legal affairs Liparit Darmian. According to him, the decision from June 18 entered into force. The court previously ruled that Azerbaijan had violated the right to life of an Armenian soldier and the prohibition of torture, and ordered him to pay 90,000 euros to his relatives. Darmian noted that this decision will become an important guideline for examining similar complaints, including those related to the 44-day war of 2020.
