Russia's weekly crude oil exports hit wartime high of $2.76 billion Russia's crude oil exports were worth $2.76 billion in the week to Oct. 25, the highest in a single week since the invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Bloomberg reported on Oct. 27. The new record clears the previous one, $2.75 billion in the week to September 27, by only $10 million, and that is the gross value of the cargoes and not money paid to the state. Federal revenue from oil and gas fell 17.2 percent from a year earlier to 5.47 trillion rubles ($67.7 billion) in the first nine months of 2026, the lowest for a period since 2020, according to Finance Ministry data, as payments to refineries below the fuel buffer and a stronger ruble ate into profit from rising prices. About 37 tankers loaded 26.93 million barrels of Russian oil last week, or 3.85 million barrels per day (b/d), compared to 21.87 million barrels on 31 ships the previous week. Volumes recovered after shipments resumed at Primorsk, the main Baltic oil port, which had stopped loading for several days. The weekly value rose by about $430 million as the jump in volumes more than offset a lower price for Urals, while the price of exposure crude oil shipped from the Pacific rose for an eighth straight week. In the less volatile four-week index, shipments fell by 30,000 two days to 3.55 million a day in the four weeks to Oct. 25, the lowest in five weeks, and the average weekly value was about $2.61 billion. In the week to September 27, when values first hit a wartime peak, Russia loaded 3.99 million per day, and the four-week average was 3.71 million per day. China and India remain by far the biggest buyers, although many recent cargoes only show an intermediate destination such as Suez, Port Sudan or Singapore until the tankers are already en route. Oil and gas revenues reached 452.4 billion rubles ($5.6 billion) in September, down 22.3% year-on-year, and the nine-month total compared with 6.61 trillion rubles ($81.7 billion) a year earlier and 8.33 trillion rubles ($103 billion) in the corresponding period of 2024.
