Soldiers of the 475th Separate Assault Battalion Code 9.2 within a week evacuated two seriously wounded soldiers from nearby units with the help of the first Ukrainian StarGate Air Casevac. The soldiers who were rescued are 25-year-old Yavan with the call sign "Tsimok" and 24-year-old Artem with the nickname "Kolobok". Both were seriously injured in their limbs and were in the gray zone, about five kilometers from the border with Russia. Due to the difficult terrain, water obstacles and the threat of enemy FPV drones, ground evacuation was impossible. Air evacuation was the only available way to save them. During the week, Code 9.2 soldiers successfully planned, prepared and conducted two complex evacuation missions. The SkyFall team, which is the developer and manufacturer of the StarGate casevac, also joined in their preparation and implementation. The operations required the coordinated interaction of several units, the involvement of additional forces and means, and the organization of fire cover. In particular, heavy vampire drones were used to suppress enemy positions. During one of the missions, Stargate traveled almost 30 km to the military position and about the same in the opposite direction - already with a fighter on board. In the area of operation, the enemy actively used radio-electronic warfare, trying to completely suppress satellite navigation signals. Nevertheless, thanks to the artificial intelligence-based navigation system on the UAV and the skill of the pilots, it was possible to ensure the flight of the UAV in the absence of satellite navigation and successfully complete the evacuation mission. source.
