Egypt discovered about 200 billion cubic feet of natural gas in the Nasem-1X well in the Mediterranean Sea. The well, drilled by Petrobel on behalf of I and Woodside, contains a 15-meter long gas-bearing layer. According to the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum, a 22 kilometer long pipeline is planned to connect it to the existing infrastructure.
