Prominent politicians from the Aleksandar Vucic camp flew to Moscow on an Air Serbia plane, which circled over Lithuania and was sent back to Belgrade. On board were the former head of Serbian counterintelligence, the former minister of defense and the Ministry of the Interior Alexander Volin (since 2023 under US sanctions), the director general of Serbiagaz and the honorary consul of Russia in Novi Sad Dushan Bakhatovic, minister without portfolio Nenad Popovic. The plane turned around because it turned out that one of the passengers did not pass the inspection. According to the Serbian news portal hadad.rs, Volin boarded the plane without being searched. Nothing illegal was found in it. He flew to Moscow to negotiate the extension of the gas agreement.
