The US and Ukraine are considering Britain, France and Germany as European negotiators on the Ukrainian settlement, writes the FT. In September, the special envoy to the US presidency Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner talked with Kyiv about the participation of these countries in the negotiations on behalf of Europe. According to the FT source, the E3 group will "become an instrument" of the European delegation, but "there are still intra-European disputes about this". As one diplomat said, first Europe needs to gain the right to be present at the negotiating table.
