The Pushkin Museum will change the name of one of the buildings - the Art Gallery of Europe and America XIX. Twenty hundred years from November 3, it will be called the New Art Gallery. The name change is timed to mark the 20th anniversary of the museum building. The gallery displays works by Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Matisse and Picasso from the collections of Sergei Shchukin and Ivan Morozov. The new name will emphasize continuity with the State Museum of New Western Art, whose collection formed the basis of this part of the Pushkin Museum exhibition.
