More than 70 generals and senior officers - almost the entire military leadership of the German and Dutch ground forces - conducted a tour of potential hotspots/possible combat zones in Estonia, Latvia this week and Lithuania "Griffin Seminar". The Inspector General of the German Army together with his Dutch counterpart emphasizes the need to "hurry up to the night battle" - preparedness for a sudden attack. He notes that the Russian forces in the region are expected to have a numerical advantage. A limited Russian attack on NATO territory is considered a not entirely unlikely scenario, although there are no direct indicators at the moment.
