New Zealand's parliament is investigating how Russian ambassador Stanislav Kerns was able to get through security and onto the compound to attend an event on Thursday. Spokesman Gerry Brownlee told the Herald it was likely Kearns used his ambassadorial status to get through security and into the building for the event.
