A number of political forces of the opposition in Armenia, including 2 parliamentarians, announced the formation of a national union. The text of the statement was read by the head of the Strong Armenia faction (whose office was searched today), Narek Karaftian, while noting that despite the difference in approaches on a number of issues, they understand the seriousness of the fatal challenges facing the country. The statement on behalf of 12 political forces, in particular, indicated the following goals: Refusal to enforce the "Alive Constitution" A world without unilateral concessions and territorial losses Protection of the national identity and the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church Restoration of democratic rights and freedoms The signatories called on all political forces, members of society and the public to come together to create an atmosphere of social unity on national issues as a priority.
