After a mass brawl in the conference hall of the National Assembly of Armenia, the faction of the ruling Civil Contract Party convened a closed session. The incident began with a speech by the deputy of the "Civil Contract" Taron Chachoyan, who made an offensive remark to the head of the "Strong Armenia" faction Narek Karaftyan. The situation became even more tense when Gernik Davtian of "Strong Armenia" pushed Chekhoyan, and he started hitting Davtian in response. After that, a real fight broke out between the workers - it is no longer clear who is hitting whom. Many MPs were injured. Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Vahan Aleksanian threw a chair at the opposition. As a result, the chairman Ruben Rubinian had to announce a break and called the security service officers to enter the hall. The tense situation continued in the corridor, where obscene language was heard.
