Armenian National Congress (ANC) Deputy Chairman Levon Zorabyan said that the TRIPP agreement can be ratified only after the Armenian government presents three guarantees. The first is cartographic: can TRIPP's exclusive territory include land parcels necessary for an independent Armenia-Iran railway. The second is legal: Armenia's right to build the Gagarin-Agarak-Iran railway or another direct railway without the consent of TDC or the United States. The third is contractual: a clear consolidation of this right in the TDC charter, the shareholders' agreement and the following franchise agreements. According to Zorbian, if all this is not done, the ratification of the TRIPP in the National Assembly will be "another serious blow to our sovereignty from these authorities". He called on the parliamentary opposition to raise these issues in parliament.
