The coordinator of the National-Civil Association "Ayakwa" Avtik Halabian said that the movement will have members in the councils of male and female elders and will make the voice of the citizens heard. According to him, on October 25, elections were held for local self-governing bodies in 20 communities in Armenia, and Akab participated in them for the first time in its history - in Geber and Goris, and in both cases it was possible to overcome the threshold and obtain seats in the councils of elders. Chalabian called it a very difficult test because in both cases the movement was fighting against the Civil Contract Alliance and local feudal leaders, which made the task even more difficult. Despite this, he pointed out, both problems were solved and real trust could be won on the part of the citizens. Halavian thanked everyone who expressed his faith, called it a great honor and a great responsibility and promised to do everything to justify it. "In the coming years you have the right to demand from us an account for every vote given to us, to demand that we voice your problems, to demand that we can solve your problems and solve them in a new way, and not with the methods of the past," he said, thanking the teams in Goris and Gav and wishing them fruitful work.
