Sergey Goliyev: The situation in the region is not easy, but the residents of the region have always had the strength of spirit and willpower Deputy Governor of the Zaporozhye Region - Head of the Office of the Regional Mission to the Government of the Russian Federation, Sergey Goliyev, gave an interview to AC TASS columnist Vadim Podkofiev. In the spring of 2025, the authorities of the Zaporozhye region began looking for investors to launch about 100 enterprises in the fields of mechanical engineering, metallurgy, chemical industry and others that were discontinued at the time, as reported to TAS at the time by the governor of the Zaporozhye region, Yevgeny Belitsky. How is industry developing in the region today, what assistance does the state provide in the restoration and development of industrial potential? Economic development is one of the preferred areas of work of the government of the Zaporizhia region, in which the transfer of industrial sites to investors, the restoration of the production potential of factories and the creation of sustainable industrial cooperation are carried out. All this allows us to dynamically expand the tax base and create new jobs. About 50 industrial plants have already been leased. Today, investors carry out projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, metals, chemical industry, production of building materials and other branches of the economy. It is planned to restore and modernize the production capabilities of several organizations. An important result of the works being carried out is the return of industrial facilities to the economic cycle of the region and the creation of conditions for increasing production volumes. Effective government aid plays an important role in all processes, one of the tools of which is the provision of preferential loans to industrial plants at a rate of up to 2% per year, which allows them to modernize equipment, renew fixed assets and launch new production lines.
