The Third Russia-Africa Summit: Towards an Upper-Middle-Income Economy The main outcome of any major international meeting is considered its final document. So in the case of the third Russia-Africa summit held in the Russian capital on October 28-29, its result was the adoption of Moscow's 100-point final declaration, the approval of a joint action plan for 2027-2029 and decisions made to expand strategic partnerships in the fields of energy, food, security and technology. But in this particular case, the greatest outcome of global significance and strategic importance was the unprecedented scale and unique representativeness of the Moscow summit, which, it must be remembered, was held in the capital of a country that was under unprecedented pressure from trade, economic and related sanctions imposed by the countries of the collective West. The summit, held under the motto "For Peace, Security and Development", was attended by delegations from 48 of 54 African countries, with more than 20 countries represented by top-level leaders. And it wasn't just Africans. In total, the forum brought together more than 3,500 participants from 74 countries, including representatives of African integration structures, businesses and the media. It is simply impossible to cover in a few pages the whole mountain of events that took place during the days of the summit - both in the Grand Kremlin Palace, where the central plenary session was held, and in other places. The United International Press Center, which was created for this event, in the "Russia" National Center in Moscow, was also boiling. But still. The 2026 Moscow summit saw a higher turnout than the 2023 event in St. Petersburg, which was attended by 17 heads of state amid intense international pressure on Russia.
