Saudi Arabia could not bear to shut down its airports for a few days, so what about those who lived under siege for years?
For many years, a sea and air blockade was imposed on Yemen, during which freedom of travel and movement was denied to millions of Yemenis, the sick and wounded suffered from difficulties in accessing treatment abroad, while travelers faced difficult conditions and excessive costs.
Today, when the Saudi airports are exposed to dangers and air traffic is disrupted, it is possible to understand some of the suffering experienced by the Yemenis over the years, when the trip for many was not just a trip, but a path full of obstacles and dangers.
Unless the Saudi ground attack lasts for days, Yemenis will live with its consequences for years.
