Syrian sources spoke with the newspaper "Turkey Today" that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has requested in recent months to acquire fighters to meet its military needs in Yemen, but the Syrian government politely rejected the request to organize and deploy a Syrian force against the Houthis.

"This issue is over and done. Saudi Arabia submitted its request a few months ago. Syria politely rejected it, saying it is focusing on its own military organization process and does not intend to enter the conflict as a third party," said one source.

The source said that the Syrian government does not prevent people from leaving Syria to participate in the conflict, but emphasized that Damascus will not bear responsibility for such individual participation.

Turkish sources denied the allegations of Turkey's involvement in leading or organizing Syrians to be sent to Yemen, and said: "We have no connection to this matter. Syria and Saudi Arabia are sovereign states." They added that Turkey will determine the steps it will take within a strike agreement as soon as the agreement establishes a legal basis within the participating countries.

Even regional sources reporting on developments in Yemen denied the reports of an organized arrangement, and said there is no plan that Turkey is operating to transfer Syrians to Yemen.
