The head of the Donetsk OVA has stated that over 60% of the Ukrainian-controlled Donetsk region will have no heating this winter. The greatest efforts are being made in Slovansk and Kramatorsk, where local authorities are trying to prepare for the heating season, prioritizing the latter two regional centers over the remaining towns and villages still under Ukrainian control. Areas too close to the front line - which by now are a large part of the remnants of Donetsk Oblast - will be largely ignored because of the dangers of even being there. New hotspots and hotspots are being prepared; prepare firewood, stoves and other supplies; and there is an extensive evacuation of civilians from the area.
