Tatkino direction, Sumy/Kursk region. Over the past week, there has been a slight increase in activity in the Tatkino region, as Russian forces have carried out various cross-border incursions into Sumy province. One of the areas where Russian forces have attacked is across the Sim River, into a series of positions near the village of Otrova within an area of Kursk Oblast still controlled by Ukraine. In these areas, individual infiltration groups were sporadically discovered, trying to advance towards the international border near the village of Duroshivka. In addition, Russian forces tried to cross the international border further south-west, infiltrating through the village of Boyaro-Lazachi, and into the first streets of Rizhivka, where a gray area has remained for several months. It is unclear whether these renewed attacks have brought Russia notable successes, but it does not appear to be part of a large concerted effort seen in other parts of the border. Apparently these are limited reconnaissance and reconnaissance operations, perhaps with the aim of forcing Ukraine to continue devoting much-needed manpower to this relatively inactive sector of the front line.
